So we all ask this question at some point:

Now I'm not talking about Dan Koe or Matt Gray.
I'm talking about niche authorities like:

And even someone like myself.

Starting A Personal Brand — the right way:
First - let’s define your niche.
You will most likely fall into these 2 categories:
  1. Niche Expert (Focused on monetizing niche skills or a previous business)
  1. Community Creator (Focused on monetizing an audience)
Most people fall into the 1st category. Less even fall into the 2nd category.
But there’s a 3rd category. The community + niche creator.
This creator has a main focus on utilizing a community, audience, etc...
BUT has offers on other niche “bonuses” that can help you grow & monetize your audience (eg. writing, graphic design, web design, etc).
Now this guide helps all three categories, but if you have zero clue on what your niche is even about or what to offer - I recommend sticking to the third category.
Here’s an example of what your offer stack might look like (3rd category):
  • I help you use your X audience
  • I help you monetize your audience
  • I help you scale with my other skills
This is how you stand out in monetizing.
You have one big offer PLUS niche, expert skills that makes you stand out from the crowd.
Most just focus on growth and monetizing.
Only a few focus on teaching you other sub-skills that’ll actually help you scale.
So How Do You Build An Audience?
I'm going to make an extreme comparison here…
But the best personal brands that I've seen on X don't just build a community.
They built a cult.
In a community, people like you for your ideas.
In a cult, people like you for who you are.
The best creators in X leveraged this cult effect.
Dan Koe, Kieran Drew, Aaron Will...
They can literally post about eating burgers or liking Katy Perry’s songs & they’d still get 100+ likes.
And client wise? Very similar.
Most of my clients were inbounds.
This means zero cold DMs, zero outreach, & barely any sales calls.

So Here's How To Build a Cult on X…
I built my cult on X with just three steps.
  1. First I built my network
  1. Second I turned my network into an engaged audience (community)
  1. Third I converted them into a cult.
Let’s go through each step.
(I'm not going to sugarcoat this entire process. I'm not going to teach you 10 viral tweet templates or how to write "good hooks". I'm going to teach you how to directly add new people into your community/audience.)

Step 1: Build out your Network

Start by DMing people.
When I started out on X, I networked with 20 people a day.
Yes — twenty.
This allowed me to make connections with everyone on X.
Those are 20 potential new engagements on your posts.
20 new potential leads.
In just 10 days — you'll have 200 potential friends.
These people are going to be the “closest” people in your network.
They are the ones that are initially gonna comment in your posts, like it, etc.

Step 2: Build an Engaged Audience

First - you need two things.
  1. Really good profile
  1. Really good posts
There’s no other shortcut to building an engaged audience.
If you’re shitposting 24/7, posting random tweets that aren’t even aligned to your niche...
Then no one would follow you. Let alone become your client.
Once you have those two - start forming a community.
Easiest way to do that?
Post "How I" instead of "How to".
You do not need to obsess over complex writing formats and big success stories.
You need to become a leader.
And talking about yourself rather than other people is the first step into becoming a leader.
You don't become a leader by telling people "what" to do. You become a leader by "showing" people how you did it.

Step 3: Converting Your Audience → Cult

There are two types of creators on X.
The first type of creator is your typical guru who gets to 500 followers by posting tweets like these:
They get followers by making engagement bait.
Making unnecessary lessons that never lead to any valuable account growth.
Sure they get engagement. Sure they get likes. But do they get clients?
Take a guess for yourself.
The second type of creators are the True Leaders on X.
They've all started movements — with or without a big audience.
  • Benjamin Chan started the Storytelling Meta on X.
  • Arnie Ho started the Selfies Trend on X.
  • I started the Long Form Meta.
The #1 most important thing that you need to remember when becoming a leader is to always start a movement.
— It's great to follow trends and benefit from them.
— But it's even better to start the trends and have everyone look up to you.
Now let's talk about what makes creators leaders or not.
But instead of writing another essay on what makes a creator bad or good — here's a comparison table instead:
I could go on forever.
But for everything that I've said here, always remember this:

Never Lose Momentum.
In business - momentum is everything.
If you want to grow big & earn big, you’ll need momentum.
Don’t believe the “scale gradually, earn gradually” gurus.
Yes it's important to take it slow. Yes it's important to play the long game.
But I’ve talked with multiple 6-7 fig business owners…
And more than 50% of their revenue came from 1-2 big launches.
Just think of that for a second.
These guys who are bringing in $200,000+ a year from their online businesses got HALF of that from just 1-2 big launches.
Kieran Drew himself got the majority of his revenue from 1-2 big launches of his high-impact writing course:
And this doesn’t come as a surprise.
Businesses fail when they “earn gradually 24/7”.
…because they're running against a treadmill.
Businesses win when they “earn strategically big”
…because they plan out how to leverage their momentum.

It’s not bad to earn gradually. It’s just that most people fall into that trap & completely stop hyping up launches/campaigns because they think you must “earn gradually” & play it safe 24/7…

Stage Two: Client Acquisition System
And now we reach the fun part.
Monetization.
There's a lot of things about monetization.
And there's a lot of BS things that gurus say about monetization.
For example:
— "You need a large audience to monetize…"
No you don't. I've earned over $60,000 from X with less than 5,000 followers.
— "You need to start low-ticket first before monetizing…"
No you don't. I signed my 1st client for $500 and quickly moved to $1,000/mo 1-1s.
What I'm going to teach you here isn't "normal" or "traditional".
It will require some breaking of limiting beliefs.
Especially if you still haven't earned your first $10,000/mo from X.
So to make this simple…
I've packaged my own Client Acquisition Model that brought me and my clients over $100,000 in results with over 60+ signed clients.
Now this model isn't complicated or time-consuming.
In fact — most of the stuff that I'll be teaching you is Plug-N-Play.
Meaning you use my system, apply it, then that's it.
No need to keep remaking offers or keep changing strategies.
Just stick to it and you'll soon be reaching your first $10,000/mo:

Step 1: Omnipresence
This part is very simple.
The more volume that you do — the more that you'll get out of in X.
For example, everyone says that engaging and DMing will make you grow.
That is 100% true. I even did an experiment on it before:
Pushing volume only works when you already have quality posts and a solid profile.
So — after making quality posts (Read Stage One again if you're unfamiliar) and a solid profile…
You can now start pushing volume.
Turn:
  • 25 comments → 50 comments a day
  • 10 DMs → 20 DMs a day
  • 1 post → 2 posts a day
I won't teach you how to comment or how to DM because that part is honestly irrelevant.
What you need to understand is a fundamental principle in business. Volume is sometimes everything. You can have the worst DM but still win clients through volume.
Now I'm not saying that you should comment or DM people with the most horrible scripted messages.
I'm saying that — if your cards are already set right, then why not play more?
The difference between $1K/mo & $10K/mo may just be the correct amount of volume to the right audience.

Step 2: Authority
Everyone throws around the word authority.
But I've been on X for around 8 months now.
And I've learned that authority just comes down to three parts: (in order of importance)

Let's go through each part:

Part 1: Finding Your Unique Angle

If you want to monetize fast (while building authority...)
Then you’ll need a unique angle early on.
I talked about this recently with some of my clients.
And one of the key things that I’ve learned is:
It’s NOT about how fast you do things that bring you to the top.
It’s how fast you are in innovation.
These posts below were from innovation:
You see these posts? You might say…
— "Sean, everyone does those posts already!"
Yes. Today.
But back then?
I was the only guy doing these posts.
And so as a result, I quickly became one of X's biggest authorities. Because I was an innovator, similar to:
  • Iman Gadzhi — who became the face of SMMA when no one else was posting about it
  • Alex Hormozi — who popularized creating offers and business in general
  • Dan Koe — who made the majority of creators start their personalb rands
Now I'm not saying I'm Iman Gadzhi or Alex Hormozi.
I just did innovation in my own space (X).
You do not need to be the next Nikola Tesla when trying to innovate. You just need to stand out from the crowd.

Part 2: Building & Leveraging Sales Assets

A sales asset is a piece of content that tells people who you are, what you do, and how you can help them (with proof).
Examples of Sales Assets:
  • Long-Form Content (Either written or Video)
  • Client Interviews (Or any sort of testimonial - those are also sales assets)
  • Lead Magnets (Like the one that you're reading right now…)
A sales asset is a personal brand's best friend.
Because by the time that people enter your sales cycle…
They should already know what you do & how you can help them.
For example:
When I started out in X, almost all of my clients came through my sales assets:
My Giveaways.
Everyone was already sold thanks to my giveaway. And this is how I signed clients without calls.
You do not randomly sign clients. You need to nurture them first. And a sales asset does exactly that.

Part 3: Generating Higher-Level Content

Next in generating authority is higher-level content.
What is higher-level content?
It’s content that is above the surface-level beginner advice.
Beginner Content: How I get 100 followers/day by engaging.
Higher-Level Content: How engaging revived my brand.
Now I'm not saying beginner advice is bad.
In fact — it's useful if you started your brand without:
  1. A big background in other social media growth
  1. A big background in personal growth (if you're in that space) or revenue growth (if you're in that space)
Remember:
No one listens to a leader who shows you WHAT makes global warming bad…
But everyone listens to a leader who shows you WHY global warming is bad.

Step 3: Lead Gen
Now I've always said this:
Lead Generation in X is mind-bogglingly simple.
If you're playing your cards right, lead gen should be at the last of your priorities.

In fact — I've provided over 11 validated strategies in finding leads for my clients because you can simply install a few 5-minute tweaks into your brand and you'll become attract leads like a magnet.
There are three types of lead gen: (in order of importance)

Since chasing (hunting) leads isn't included in my principles — I'm not going to go over cold leads.
Because I'm sure all of you here also don't want to chase unqualified, low-quality leads 24/7.

Part 1: Hot Leads

Now this is the part where you can get leads on autopilot.
But what exactly are hot leads?
Hot Leads are leads that come from your profile or content… without doing anything.
For example:
  • Auto-plugs under your posts
  • CTAs from your bio / pinned post
In other words — they come from your sales assets.
This is where building a good personal brand comes in.
Every piece of content, every tweet that you write can be a possible lead generator. You just have to make them worth diving into.
If your content is good — people will have a reason to check out your services. It's that simple.

Part 2: Warm Leads / Warm Outreach

You DM everyone who follow, engage, or like your posts.
This is by far my favorite one because it’s like playing chess.
Not only that, but it teaches me so much about sales & how my leads think in general so I’ll know how to change my processes/systems to better target them.
Once you do these long enough — you’ll get addicted to them & start to feel like every conversation is a chess game.
You say the wrong thing, you lose a lead.
You say the right thing, you get a client.
That’s just how it is.
You either win or lose with each message.
Basically the goal of every warm DM is to lead the conversation to a sale

Step 4: High-Ticket Offer
And now we reach your offer.
Now there's probably 100 different ways to make an offer nowadays.
And I'm sure you already of how to make a basic offer.
So I won’t go deep on offer creation as I teach that more in-depth (Godfather Offer) with my clients…
When making your offer, remember to use these objections as data:
“I can’t afford it” - it’s none of your business.
“I’ll think about it” / “It’s not right for me” - it’s 100% your business.
(Of course — these objections have to be real…)
One offer can make you live your dreams.
One offer can give you the opportunity only work with high-quality clients and have your calendar look like this:
One offer can give you the opportunity to get recurring payments like this without burning out:
And the best of all…
One offer can give you your dream life and travel the world to places like this:
In other words — one offer is enough to give you your dream life.
  • Having a clean calendar, only working with fun & high-quality clients
  • Getting paid month after month without stress of burnout or churn
  • Having the freedom to travel the world and work 3-4 hour days
You just have to make one damn good offer.
Sometimes — a good offer is your missing piece to $10K/mo.

Step 5: Conversion
We're at the last stage.
This is where I'll teach you how to sign all of the leads that you're getting after applying the strategies above.
There's two ways that you can convert clients.
  1. On A Sales Call
  1. On Chat
If you had to pick between the two — I would absolutely go with the sales call.
Because for context, my sales call conversion rate is 50-60%.
My chat conversion rate, on the other hand, is just around 7-10%.
Now I won't go deep on sales here — because honestly…
After you apply everything that I've taught you so far:
You are already golden in sales.
You do not even need expert sales knowledge to sign clients here.
You just need pure confidence that your offer can help whoever you're selling to — and the selling will do itself automatically.
This goes for both chat selling and call selling.

And now we reach the end.
This part isn't long.
In fact — it's only going to consist of two parts:
  1. The Slow Path to $10,000/mo
  1. The Fast Path to $10,000/mo
Notice I didn't say a "wrong" or "right" path.
Because honestly…
There's no wrong path to $10,000/mo.
You can do almost everything wrong — and with enough volume, you will still get to $10,000/mo.
But unfortunately, we aren't time millionaires.
We're just mortals with 24 hours in a day.
So first, I will show you the Slow Path to $10,000/mo.
Then I will show you the Fast Path to $10,000/mo.

DON'T skip reading the Slow Path — because you may be doing some things in the Slow Path right now. The mistakes can cost you the difference between $10,000/mo this year or $0/mo.

Path 1: The Slow Path
80% of you may be in this path.
So don't skip this and make sure to read with intent because you might be losing out on a lot.
Here's a timeline that I recently shared with my workshop:

Month One

On your first month, you're simply trying out X.
Posting platitudes. Posting pictures of yourself. Posting random stories about your life.
Nothing crazy right now…

Month Two

But on your second month — you start to see the potential of X.
Maybe you saw Dan Koe. Maybe you saw 15-year-olds making $5,000/mo.
So you said to yourself…
— "Let's stop messing around. I'm here to monetize"
Maybe you got so motivated that you even put: "Documenting My FIrst $10,000/mo" in your bio…

Month Three

Then on the third month, you started monetizing.
You tried:
  • Posting "Value" Long Forms 24/7 and expecting inbounds to magically appear at your DMs
  • Posting Stories & Selfies that gets tons of impressions… but absolutely zero leads
  • Posting to your Email Newsletter because everyone said it's good
  • Making repurposed "brand" giveaways that everyone has already read
But none of this worked.
And you're running out of options.

Month Four

So month 4 comes…
And you finally bite the bullet and start investing in courses.
You bought Dan Koe's course. You bought Kieran Drew's course.
Hell, you even borrow one of Justin Welsh's course from your friend.
And so the "learning" phase begins.
  1. You start reading all of these courses.
  1. You learn how to make an offer.
  1. You learn how to send good DMs.
(And from Dan Koe, you also get an existential crisis while reading about personal brands on X…)

Month Five

So Month 5 comes.
You're all equipped and ready.
You used all of the templates from these big creators.
And the first thing that you do — is actually try to sell your offer.
You hop on a few sales calls and sell a few on the DMs.
Then your prospect says:
— "I can't do it right now, maybe another time…"
Okay, not supposed to get a yes on the first prospect anyways. Just move on.
Then the second prospect says:
— "I don't have the money to invest…"
That's weird. Maybe I'm bad at sales?
— "This is not right for me…"
Okay… something is definitely wrong.
What's Happening?

Month Six

Month 6 arrives.
54 sales calls and over 200 DMs sent.
You're at a grand total of 2 clients signed at $400/mo.
— "Why?"
This can't be right.
But you push through anyways.
And 6 months later…
You finally reach $10K/mo.
  • With horrible churn
  • With horrible clients
  • With horrible stress because you have to fight for clients month after month — never resting.
There has to be a better way…
Yes, yes there is.

Path 2: The Fast Path
Now before we start — this is not just theory.
Because honestly, what you're about to read almost sounds too good to be true.
But here's the thing:
This is just a roadmap of my own journey.
Everything that I'll talk about already happened to me.
— "But Sean, your journey was probably just luck!"
Tell that to my clients who have done the same exact things as me and have gotten the same exact results.
We are all winning.
And this is what we did:

Month One

Month 1 starts.
You're not here to play games but instead to build a business.
So you invest early NOT on big creators, but INSTEAD on creators who are only 2-3 steps ahead of you…
Because they're teaching exactly what you need.
Not what you need after you get 100K followers…
Now you have a plan.
So immediately… you fix the bottleneck of 99% of creators:
Standing Out.
You don't become a Dan Koe copycat and instead find your own unique angle:
You also don't downplay yourself by saying that you're documenting your journey to $10,000/mo.
Because no one needs to know that.
You're just deterring the people who are making $10,000/mo. (Who are often the best clients to work with…)
People just need to know how you can help them.
On this month, you also make your offer straight away.
Because you want to get it out there fast.
  • So you can fail fast.
  • And learn fast.
  • So you can get feedback fast.
  • And sign clients fast.

Month Two

Month 2 comes.
You're already getting decent traction because you stood out early on.
So with the momentum that you have going on right now…
You stop following trends and instead — start your own trends.
You started experimenting.
Trying out new long form formats that no one has ever done before.
You started making lead magnets that no one has ever done before (like this one :P)
And so eventually, one of your experiment goes viral.
You started a video trend.
And everyone started copying you.
Then everyone now knows you as the "video guy".
You have officially started a movement.
And eventually, people started getting more interested about you.
So you start to get inbounds after starting that movement.
And voila — you have closed your first client.
Not a $1 client. Not a $100 client.
But instead — a $500 high-ticket client:
And that momentum carries on:
You keep signing clients until you have filled your capacity for the month.

Month Three

So Month 3 comes.
You're at a stage for overdelivering now.
So you take a step back in marketing, and double down on systems.
You start making your program world-class.
And eventually — your clients also started getting results:
  • Client A signed his 1st client
  • Client B got his first $1,000 from X
  • Client C closed a whale client for $2,000/mo
So you use their results as momentum for your next launch…
And before you know it…
You close all of your spots before even finishing your launch.
And now you're at a comfortable $5,000/mo.

Month Four

So now we're at Month 4.
Your strategies are refined. Your systems are elite.
So this month, it's time to hit the gas & push your limits.
You do more launches…
